Kathmandu, 10 October : Nepal defeated China by 10 wickets in the fifth match under the ICC World T-20 Asia Qualifier Group ‘B’ today.
Chasing the target of just 27 runs posted by China, Nepali openers Binod Bhandari and Pradeep Airee completed the chase in just 11 balls. Bhandari smashed 24 off just 8 balls and Pradeep Airee contributed 4 off 3 balls.
Winning the toss, Nepal’s skipper Gyanendra Malla elected to bowl first with a aim to restrict the China side in possible lower score. China were all out in 13 overs with the score of 26 runs on the board.
Sandeep Lamichhane, Basanta Regmi and Lalit Rajbanshi all grabbed 3-3 wickets each.
Nepal is in top of the table with 10 points from 5 games. Nepal will take on Singapore in their final group match in October 12.
